AACWA plea for punctuality in official working
ITANGAR, Oct 16: Stating that most of the government officials were absent from work and this was delaying the work process in the state, the All Arunachal Contractor’s Welfare Association (AACWA) has appealed the state Chief Secretary to strictly issue directives to all concerned officers to be present and speed up the file movement.
In a release, the AACWA stated that the most of the officers are busy in personal works and taking advantage of the absence of higher officers, even the lower level officers also fail to perform their duty on time.
AACWA also requested all senior government officials to work punctually stating that many public and staff are facing problem as they have to travel from interior areas of other parts and from district headquarters for official works even for initiation of few words or signature in file for movements up to the higher level. Most of the government file movements are delayed in the state civil secretariat and are lying unattended for months at a single table which adds to the problems of the common man and the junior staff.
Further, it stated that all the government departments should update their official websites regularly on information of any government activities so that it can helpful for the common public. Most of the department websites are still under construction, it added.

NEW DELHI, Oct 16: The officers and officials of Arunachal Bhawan in New Delhi today mourned the sudden demise of Suraj Ban who was working as a Chowkidar in Arunachal Bhawan. Late Ban, who was one of the most dedicated and sincere staff, joined the Bhawan as a daily wage chowkidar in 1981 and was later regularised in 1997. He was even present until the last day in the office, stated a release.
Resident Commissioner, Arunachal Bhawan, V. Abraham, in a condolence message remembered Late Ban’s untiring effort for the last 34 years. A two minute silence was held in the lawns of the Bhawan to pay respects for the departed soul. Bhan is survived by a wife and five children. (OSD IPR)

AAPSU protests reach Delhi as it demands deportation of Chakma and Hajong refugees

NEW DELHI, Oct 16: Hundreds gathered at the Jantar Mantar, in the national capital today to take part at the All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union (AAPSU) sponsored dharna to voice their protest against the recent Supreme Court ruling directing the state government to grant citizenship rights to Chakma and Hajong refugees within three months.

The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh JP Rajkhowa administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new ministers in an impressive function held at Raj Bhawan.
The ministerial reshuffle follows the recent dismissal of Kumar Waii, Chowna Mein, Kamlung Mossang, Thanwang Wangham and Wanglin Lowangdong from cabinet following report of internal dissidence. Two cabinet berths have been kept vacant.

Proper health care for women must to reduce IMR: Negi

Now the problem of SSA teachers who have completed the above mentioned course is that, before conduction of APTET exam, department is holding job interview of TGT/PRT.
Every one knows SSA teachers are serving without getting regular salary for months. Many of SSA teachers will be over aged in next few years and so we do not want to miss every single chance of appearing in regular teachers’ job interview.
Therefore, SSA teachers who have completed B.Ed/ D.LE.ED course this year appeal to the concerned department to either postpone the TGT/PRT interview till the declaration of result of APTET 2015 or allow B.Ed/D.EL.ED holder SSA teachers to appear in TGT/PRT interview.
We also appeal to AASSATA to raise the issue with the concerned authority.

MLAs have no sense of responsibility towards state
Dear Editor,
The political scenario of Arunachal Pradesh to deteriorating day by day as dissidents Congress MLAs are camping at Delhi to change leadership. Dissidents MLAs are sitting in Delhi for more than month without bothering about the public welfare activities of the state and their own constituencies. Ultimately general public are suffering, developmental activities are lagging behind and there are possibilities of deteriorate law and order problem in the state, especially in state capital if this political unrest is not solved soon.
There are 60 MLAs in Arunachal Pradesh. General public have elected them for five years to lead the society and to bring all round developments. People have lots of expectation from them that they would bring development in the state but these Honourable MLAs are camping in Delhi for several months with wrong intention and public are suffering in their respective constituencies but no time with MLAs to hear grievances of general public.
All Papum Pare District Students’ Union (APPDSU) appeals all the dissidents MLAs to return to the state to resume their daily activities for the interest and welfare of the general public. There are so many developmental works that has to be done in Arunachal Pradesh but dissidents MLAs are camping in Delhi for self benefits.
APPDSU further urges all political parties and elected representative to stop blame game. Instead of blaming each other, we appeal them to stand united to overcome the state financial crisis.
Moreover, the people of state under the banner of all Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) are protesting against the Supreme Court verdict on grant of citizenship to Chakma and Hajong refugees but our honourable MLAs have no sense of responsibilities towards its people. We need them this particular time to fight against the Supreme Court verdict so we appeal them to return home and give their time to state government to take up Chakma and Hajong issue at Supreme Court.
We also urge state government to enact a strong legislation to check the revenue leakage. State financial position would be strong if government stop the revenue leakage. Because of weak financial position, our state government is compelled to depend on central government.

LPG shortage and mismanagement

“System’’ in Arunachal Pradesh is getting bad to worse day after days, which in turn is completely demoralizing us and our trust. In my home town, Daporijo, a local Liquefied Petroleum Gas Provider, provides only three or four Cylinders per household during a year whereas Ministry of Petroleum & Gas has given the provision of nines cylinders per household during a year time, according to reports.
The agency takes three and half months to distribute 1000 cylinders. By average calculation it seems that they are providing only 5000 cylinders during a year.
Hence my question is how many LPG Cylinders have INDANE allocated to the gas agency for distribution in Daporijo during a year?
It is also found that the small hotels & restaurants have been using LPG throughout the year without any hindrance. How do they manage?
Thela wala are the sole agents between gas agency and the small hotels.
I am frustrated with these practices by our local functionary and request District Supply Officer to take prompt and strict action in order to control such illegal practices of selling LPG Cylinders in “black”. On the contrary, I haven’t got my share of LPG since three and half months.
This year, I have received only three cylinders. And I know I am not the only sufferer. There are many in my district who has suffered because of shortage of cylinders due to mismanagement by those responsible.
